This is a 9-week program that includes free training in mindfulness meditation and mindful movements, as well as directing mindfulness-based skills towards enhancing diet, physical activity, sleep, stress recovery, cognitive performance, and social relationships.
The course consists of nine weekly sessions that are 2.5 hours as well as an all-day retreat. To be eligible you must be a current undergraduate student and not have a regular mindfulness practice.
Research participation also includes interviews, questionnaires and health measurements, such as blood pressure, height, and weight which are completed both before and after the mindfulness program.

This study takes place on the main campus of Brown University in Providence, RI.
Participants have the opportunity to learn mindfulness meditation, mindful movement, as well as applying mindful skills training to improve participants diet, physical activity, sleep, stress recovery, cognitive performance, and social relationships
The purpose of the study is to see whether the Mindfulness-Based College intervention increases the positive health behaviors of participants using mindfulness base practices.
The program consists of 9 weekly sessions that are 2.5 hours and an all-day weekend retreat. Research participation includes health measurements, such as blood pressure, height, and weight, which are completed both before and after the class. As part of the larger research study, MB-College participants will receive $25 USD for each round of assessments that they complete, up to $75 in total.
To be eligible, you must be an undergraduate student, and not have a current regular mindfulness meditation practice. This is a randomized controlled trial, so if eligible, you will be offered the mindfulness training either this semester, or during the next available class, depending on which group you are assigned to (i.e., Intervention vs. Wait-list Control).
